Dr. Byrd was born on October 30, 1932 and passed away on Tuesday, September 29, 2015.
Dr. Byrd was a resident of Durham, North Carolina at the time of his passing.
He attended Hope Valley School. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Wake Forest College in Wake Forest now Wake Forest University Winston Salem; Bachelor of Divinity Master of Theology and Doctor of Ministry degrees from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary Wake Forest.
He is survived by his wife Jean.
